Originally from California where she managed a nationally recognized, award-winning Public Health Program for San Diego County, Chelsea is proud to serve on the Board of Slow Food Phoenix as the Communications Chair.  She is looking forward to bringing her experience with policy, systems, and environmental change to the local chapter.  Balancing an interest in athletics with her passion for the arts, Chelsea has worked in collegiate and professional sports managing event operations and in-game programming, even taking the mic as on-field host for professional baseball and football games.  Her media communication skills have put her in front of the camera for interviews, photoshoots and video productions as well as behind the scenes as stage manager and various public relations and marketing positions for world renowned production companies in San Diego and New York City.

Locally, she served as a representative on the Raising Arizona Kids Advisory Committee, as an Executive Member of the West Valley Mom’s Blog, and as the business consultant developing a coworking event space for Peoria, Arizona.  She and her family love to explore Arizona’s diverse landscape through their many adventures across the state.  Chelsea has a passion for discovering and learning about native medicinal plants as well as supporting the development of a flourishing local food system that ensures healthy food access for all.
